You probably associate the name Zumnorde with shoes. You’re exactly right – we are a shoe retailer with heart and soul in the fifth generation. 23 stores and a large online store are the contact point for lovers of beautiful shoes throughout Germany.

How do we get a hotel-restaurant in Erfurt? The story begins shortly after the fall of the Wall. Franz-Josef and Heinrich Zumnorde wanted to contribute to the reconstruction of the new federal states and open a shoe store. They found what they were looking for in Erfurt – the shoe store opened in 1991. The citizens of Erfurt find shoes for the whole family and expert advice in the usual personal and cordial Zumnorde manner. The Zumnorde hotel and wine bar open a few years later.
